Entertainment & movies

• Consumers are becoming increasingly selective in what they want to buy, and in general, their preference is moving more toward rental/streaming service options as opposed to purchasing outright, according to Deloitte.

• About 63 percent of customers say they have downloaded a retailer’s mobile app, but only a third of which use them, according to retailpro.com.

Travel & destination

• That number of online travel bookings via mobile has jumped from 23% in 2012 to 30% in 2013 and to 38% in 2014, according to Consumer Trends and Travel Weekly.
